U of I Extension presents Organic Weed and Pest Control Workshop March 11

The University of Illinois Extension-Winnebago County will host a workshop on how to control weeds and pests sustainable and organically from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 11, at U of I Extension-Winnebago County, 1925 S. Meridian Road, Rockford.
Bill Lindenmier, U of I Extension crop systems educator, will be presenting. This very informative workshop will help participants prepare for the growing season. Topics covered include organic history overview, soil preparation including fertility, composting and mulching. Other topics will also cover innovative and mechanical weed control, garden layout and insect control.
