Soil Fertility Workshop at U of I Extension March 27

University of Illinois Extension-Winnebago County will offer a workshop on Soil Fertility from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, March 27, at U of I Extension-Winnebago County, 1925 S. Meridian Road, Rockford.
Jim Morrison, U of I Extension crop systems educator, will conduct the workshop. This very informative workshop will help participants to care for their soil using conventional, sustainable or organic inputs.
Topics covered will include an overview and basic concepts of soil fertility, soil sampling, testing, interpretation and plant analysis. Morrison will also provide an understanding of macro and micro nutrients, fertilizer materials, both conventional and organic, and calculation of fertilizer costs and usage.
