Two Rockford residents arrested in drug bust in Loves Park

March 10, the State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT), in conjunction with the Loves Park and Rockford police departments, arrested two Rockford residents on drug charges.

Laudrell Blaylock, 29, of the 800 block of Cunningham, Rockford, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, a class 1 felony. The arrest of Blaylock comes after he allegedly delivered 2.7 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover SLANT agent while at the Park Motel in Loves Park.

Mack D. Jones, 42, of the 200 block of Day Ave., Rockford, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, a class 1 felony. The arrest of Mack comes after he allegedly delivered 4.8 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover SLANT agent while at the Park Motel in Loves Park.

Blaylock and Mack were incarcerated at the Winnebago County jail pending a court appearance.

These charges are only an accusation, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The State Line Area Narcotics Team is composed of officers from the Freeport Police, Loves Park Police, Rockford Police, Stephenson County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois State Police, Monroe, Wis., and Green County Wisconsin Sheriff’s Department.
