Rockford Tea Party brings ‘Tea Party Express’ to Rockford April 6

The Tea Party Express bus arrives in Rockford at 2:30 p.m.,Tuesday, April 6, and speakers will begin at 1 p.m.

The Sons of Liberty Riders will escort them into town and to Davis Park, 329 S. Wyman St.

The event has been coordinated by the Rockford Tea Party, under the leadership of David Hale, who contacted the Tea Party Express and organized the reception in Rockford. The earlier online story did not mention the sponsorship of the Rockford Tea Party, which is a separate organization from the Northern IL Tea Party.

Everyone is invited to participate in this large rally on their way from U.S. Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) hometown of Searchlight, Nev., to Washington, D.C.

Speakers will include: Adam Andrzejewski, former Ill. gubernatorial candidate; Denise Cattoni, coordinator, Illinois Tea Party Patriots; Joe Walsh, 8th Congressional District, candidate; Jim Tobin, president, National Taxpayers United of Illinois; Zach Oltmans, president, Illinois Conservatives; John Bambenek, the “Put-Back Amendment” author; and Rosanna Pulido, former 5th Congressional District candidate.

The event will run from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Davis Park. Join thousands of patriots as they tell Congress and the White House: “Enough!”
