‘2010 Illinois Energy To Jobs Forum’ March 23 in Springfield

From press release

SPRINGFIELD, Ill.—How can energy development add jobs to Illinois’ economy and what can the Illinois Legislature do to help make it happen? That topic will be discussed at the “2010 Illinois Energy To Jobs Forum” from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 23, at the State Capitol, Room 114, Springfield, Ill.

The roundtable discussion with energy, environment and government leaders will focus on what’s real and what’s fantasy when it comes to keeping and creating jobs in Illinois’ energy sector—and what can be done in Springfield to bring more energy jobs to the state.

The Energy Forum will be rebroadcast on the Illinois Channel.

Panelists include Roger Dennison, MaRyan Mining; Sheila Owens, Exelon; Mark Burger, Illinois Solar Energy Association; David Fein, Constellation Energy; Wendy Jaehn, Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance; Shawn Kestler, Acciona; Jack Lewnard, Gas Technology Institute; Barry Matchett, Environmental Law and Policy Center; and Dave Sykuta, Illinois Petroleum Council.

The forum is sponsored by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce’s Energy Council and moderated by Terry Martin of Illinois Channel. Co-hosts are state Reps. Lou Lang (D-16) and Bill Mitchell (R-87) and state Sens. Dan Kotowski (D-33) and Kyle McCarter (R-51).
