‘Primp for Prom Initiative’ March 27 at One-in-Christ Church

The Ellis Heights Weed and Seed Program with the support of the Winnebago County Health Department will launch its inaugural project, “Primp for Prom Initiative.” This event, a collaborative partnership with several community partners, is designed to celebrate girls who are preparing for their prom event.

The celebration day is Saturday, March 27, from noon to 4:30 p.m., at One-in-Christ Church, 1502 Parkview Ave., Rockford. During the event, the girls will be provided information about healthy dating tips, financial tips, alcohol-free fun to party right for prom, and proper etiquette.

Additionally, a luncheon is served along with an elegant modeling showcase for the participating guests.

The day will culminate with a presentation of the previously selected gown; gift certificates for a hair style and for dinner at a local fine restaurant; and individual gift bags.
