That fact previously appeared even in your own paper. The Carpenters in fact embrace YouthBuild -- another fact previously quoted within YOUR paper. Do you read it? One main reason this is in the courts -- from my understanding as a result of reading the papers and having a friend in the trades -- is because the union carpenters say a prevailing wager rate applies to any demolition project that leads to new construction. This isn't about "bullying"; this is about a contract that defines who has access to what work at what rate. So get off your soapbox, Schier, and get your facts straight. Your headline, "Lawsuit by carpenters union targets YouthBuild program" is misleading and inaccurate. You'd like to "give my respect back to people I know deserve it"... right after you've used your column as an attack campaign filled with propaganda, partial information and snide remarks.
