Basics of Economics Seminar set for April 17

Is the economy recovering? Did the government bailouts really help? Has the free market failed? What does the Federal Reserve do?

Savannah Liston will be answering these questions and more at the “Basics of Economics” Seminar from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 17, at the Sweden House Lodge, 4605 E. State St., Rockford (just east of Alpine Road).

Savannah Liston spoke in February at the Northern IL Tea Party Town Hall on “Did Capitalism Really Cause the 2008 Recession?” She recently attended an economic conference on Jekyll Island, Georgia, with Rep. Ron Paul and others. She is also the Winnebago County coordinator for the Campaign for Liberty.
