ROSCOE, Ill.—Beloit Regional Hospice is welcoming back Douglas C. Smith, renowned speaker, trainer and consultant, for an enlightening program and book signing on Thursday, April 22, at the NorthPointe Community Room, 5605 E. Rockton Road in Roscoe. The topic for the evening is “Different Ways of Grieving, Different Ways of Healing.”Everyone in attendance will receive a copy of Smith’s book, The Tao of Grieving, which includes beautiful photos and poetic meditations (listed on Amazon.com for $52.50).
Continuing education credits are also available for nurses and social workers. Attendees will learn of Smith’s truly unique experiences while gaining knowledge on grieving styles, and how to help yourself and others who are grieving due to a variety of topics such as death, job loss, divorce, loss of health and traumatic situations.
Light refreshments and registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the program from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost includes program materials, continuing education credits, refreshments and the book, all for just $50.
