After reading about the Rockford Urban Ministries in the paper the other day I honestly considered joining. I work on the west side of Rockford and pass by neighborhoods that would look so much better if someone just came through and picked up the trash. I fully believe that God asks us to look around and help where we see help is needed. Plain and simple. It makes me very sad to say that after reading this article I will need to find another way to help those in need in Rockford. I do not agree with you on more points than I care to numerate here and now. You may say that I just can't handle the truth but I abide by the saying "you get more bees with honey". I'll be praying God helps you and your ministry.

Thanks for explaining why you are a Christian, now for your next column, perhaps you can explain why you don't practice Christianity?

I'm specifically referring to the hatred you spew towards Don Manzullo, and George Bush, to name a few. Your behavior in this respect was as un-Christian like as I could have imagined.

While we're at it, how about explaining your left-wing un-truths. Specifically, in your last column you stated that the U.S.involvement in Vietnam and Afghanistan was "colonialism". I say this is not true. Please feel free to produce whatever facts you have to prove the U.S. was interested in turning these countries into colony's.

As Colin Powell was quoted as saying, in the twentieth century (and now the twenty-first), the only terriority the United States asked for was enough room to bury our dead.
