Willowbrook Middle School presents Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr.
From press release
SOUTH BELOIT, Ill.—Willowbrook Middle School in Prairie Hill Community Consolidated School District No. 133 will present Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr. May 5-8. Sixty-five students will be performing and working behind the scenes in a 90-minute production, a shortened version of the original play.
Join the players in New York City in 1922, where young Millie Dillmount faces new experiences while searching for a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz—a time when women were entering the work force, and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever.
Regular performances will be held at 7 p.m., May 6-8, at Willowbrook Middle School, 6605 Prairie Hill Road in South Beloit, Ill. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students K-12. A special grandparents’ performance will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, in which all senior citizens will be admitted free when attending with their grandchild. Students are also encouraged to “adopt” a family friend or relative who may not have a grandchild in the district, but would enjoy an evening out.
All performances are at Willowbrook Middle School. For more information, contact Linda Julian at (815) 389-3957, ext. 1670.
