To the Editor: Say ‘NO’ to Phil Hare

Which party is really the party of NO?

The Democrat Party, including Phil Hare, are vociferous in their claim that Republicans and conservative members in Congress are obstructionists by saying NO to the demands of an out-of-control Congress.

But let’s keep this local and look at what Phil Hare has said NO to:

Mr. Hare has said NO to the people of the 17th District when we said NO health care being shoved down our throats.

Mr. Hare said NO to the people when we said we didn’t want Cap and Trade forced on us.

Mr. Hare said NO to the will of the people when we said NO to the Stimulus Package.

Mr. Hare has said NO to the voice of the citizens when we said NO to illegal immigration, and that we want something done about the illegals already here.

Mr. Hare has said NO to the traditional values of the Midwest and America by embracing deviant lifestyles that do not reflect values of the majority of the 17th District.

Mr. Hare has said NO to those who believe that the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution means that we, the people, have the right to keep and bear arms. But the Second Amendment is in the U.S. Constitution, and we all know that Mr. Hare is not concerned about the U.S. Constitution, or was that the Declaration of Independence?

Mr. Hare, it’s obvious that you’re not concerned with the will of the majority of the citizens of this district. You’re concerned with doing the bidding of your campaign contributors, law firms, union leaders, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the elite in Washington, D.C.

As Ronald Reagan was fond of saying, “facts are stubborn things.” Mr. Hare, you can run from your record, but you can’t hide from it.

This November, I urge all the citizens of the 17th District, union or not, to join me in saying NO to Phil Hare, and YES to Bobby Schilling for Congress.
