Signal Hill Neighborhood Association? Really, does this association still exist? I live in the Signal Hill area and don't hear anything about this group anymore. In fact, the ONLY thing this group accomplished was to close the end of my block; making life miserable for everybody living here. I know comments are to be about Queen LaVonne, but when I saw Signal Hill was behind this I couldn't resist. This is a group that is in limbo at best.

I went to this meeting tonight and came away with a very sour taste in my mouth. Of course it came off that the teachers are the problem, that was expected. The women is good at talking all away around an issue without really saying anything of substance. The question and answer period was pretty much a farce at best. The people asking the questions were limited to all of 1 minute as directed by Jeanie Westholder - unless of course they had something to say that was in praise of Sheffield. Then it didn't seem to matter how long they got to talk. Then Sheffield would go into her spin routine and in most cases she'd start off talking about the topic at hand and wind up talking about something completely different. I know that talking with a couple of the people there afterward that this was pretty much their impression also. To top all that off there was only enough time for maybe 7 questions.

Trying to end this on a positive note - I'd like to thank the Signal Hill Neighborhood Association for sponsoring tonight forum. They were very gracious in opening up their meeting to anyone willing to come and spend the time.
