RiverHawks to raise money for Disaster Relief
From press release
For more than 90 years, the Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross has empowered community members with the skills and knowledge to support victims of local disasters. Providing comfort in the form of food, shelter, clothing and counseling to our neighbors who were affected by disasters such as the flooding of Keith Creek and the Rock River; the Poplar Grove tornado; and 6-10 residential fires per month is the primary duty of Red Cross disaster volunteers. In order to provide these services, the Red Cross needs to maintain a healthy Disaster Relief Fund.
This is why the Rockford RiverHawks has partnered with the Rock River Chapter to raise much-needed money for the Disaster Relief Fund. The RiverHawks will square off against bitter rivals, the Schaumburg Flyers, starting at 6:05 p.m., Saturday, May 22, at Road Ranger Stadium in Loves Park.
Home plate box tickets are $12 ($5 goes back to the Red Cross), and infield box tickets are $10 ($4 goes back to the Red Cross). To order your tickets for this game, call (815) 963-8471.
“The RiverHawks are excited to partner with the Rock River Chapter of the Red Cross,” said Josh Olerud, general manager. “We look forward to a very fun night for families, and an exciting game, all for a good cause!”
