Kick-Off Party for library’s summer reading club June 5

From press release

Rockford Public Library’s 2010 Summer Reading Club, “Scare Up a Good Book,” begins Saturday, June 5, at the Kick-Off Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Lot C (Park and Jefferson streets). The party features music, a bouncy tent, a rock-climbing wall, crafts and more. The first 1,000 children to register at the club will receive a free T-shirt.

The Summer Reading Club is Rockford Public Library’s largest program of the year. The club offers levels for children, young adults and adults. Despite budget cuts, the summer reading club will continue much as it has in the past and the library anticipates 11,000 participants this year.
