If it was such a wonderful and profitable source of power the American people would not be forced to guarantee the construction of new plants and the waste disposal from existing plants. Throughout the United States there are areas still contaminated from the nuclear industry waiting for clean up. There is still no system of nuclear waste disposal. Small scale wind and solar power generation is a potentially more significant source of jobs in both its manufacturing and servicing than is the nuclear industry. Nuclear power is not a renewable or environmentally clean source of energy. If it was such a wonderful and profitable source of power the American people would not be forced to guarantee the construction of new plants and the waste disposal from existing plants.
