Forreston blessing of the bikes rescheduled for June 27

FORRESTON, Ill.—The blessing of the bikes in Forreston, Ill., originally scheduled for June 13, was rained out. The event has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 27.
The event will be in Veteran’s Memorial Park in Forreston, Ill. The park is next to the grade school, just off Route 26 in Forreston.
Event begins at 5:30 p.m., with free food being served while it lasts and entertainment beginning at 6 p.m. Bike blessings will take place between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Besides motorcycles, bicycles will also be blessed.
The public is invited, and you don’t have to own a motorcycle to enjoy the event.
Seating is limited, so participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
This event is sponsored by the 1st United Methodist Church of Forreston/Leaf River United Methodist Church Cooperative Ministry.
The churches are biker friendly chuches whose ministry is open to all people. Join the church each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. in Forreston for worship or at 10:30 a.m. in Leaf River.
