Amateur photographers age 18 and older are encouraged to submit their photos of the northern Illinois environment. Photos should showcase nature, i.e., landscapes, trees, flowers and waterways; no people, animals or structures may be included as the principal subject.

“We look forward to seeing the photos of our beautiful local environment,” said Lori Gummow, KNIB executive director.

Individuals may submit as many photos as they like with the fee structure being $15 for the first one and $10 each for any additional entry. Entry forms and contest rules are available online at www.knib.org or at Camera Craft, 1643 N. Alpine Road. The $500 in prizes available for the contest include Camera Craft gift certificates, photographic prints on canvas, a camera bag and magazine subscriptions.
