Rockford Dance Company, Womanspace present Fairy Festival July 24

The Second Annual Fairy Festival is from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, July 24, on the grounds of Womanspace, a half-mile west of Rock Valley College at 3333 Maria Linden Drive.

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate for adults; $5 advanced/$8 at the gate for children 12 and younger. The event sold out last year, so advance ticket purchase is recommended from either Rockford Dance Company or Womanspace.

This is a delightful evening of fairies, magic, dance and fun! Families and guests of all ages will stroll the grounds and art galleries at Womanspace, while fairies lead a scavenger hunt through the beautiful gardens, the magical pine forest, and out onto the Labyrinth on the prairie.

Entertainment by Rockford Dance Company will be provided, and guests can make a fairy crown and wand to take home. Complimentary light refreshments will be available, and fairy items will be sold by Wonderland Books and Toys. Guests may arrive early at 4:30 p.m. and bring their own picnic to savor on the lawn. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for the performance.
