Narcotics Anonymous offers local website, RockRiverNA.org

From press release

A website exists that provides information about recovery from the disease of addiction for people living in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

The website, www.RockRiverNA.org, is published by the Rock River Area Group Services of Narcotics Anonymous (NA), a local organization that is part of the larger worldwide fellowship known as Narcotics Anonymous (www.NA.org).

The website provides the following: free downloads of recovery literature; the area’s 24-hour local NA Helpline number (815-964-5959); information about NA meeting times, locations and dates in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin; links to information in Spanish; information for health professionals and affected family members; and much more.

NA is a nonprofit, international, community-based organization for recovering addicts in more than 116 countries. Narcotics Anonymous members learn from one another how to live drug-free and recover from the effects of addiction in their lives.

Anyone who wants to stop using drugs may become a member of NA. Membership is not limited to addicts using any particular drug. Those who feel they may have a problem with drugs, legal or illegal, including alcohol, are welcome. Recovery in NA focuses on the problem of addiction, not on any particular drug.

Inquiries about NA services in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin can be obtained by e-mailing the Rock River Area Group Services of Narcotics Anonymous public relations chairman at pi.chair@rragsna.org.
