PECATONICA, Ill.—Intriguing, thought-provoking, and often downright scary, Edgar Allen Poe was a man ahead of his time. In Pecatonica, Ill., this September, Poe steps out of the past and onto the stage, offering insight into what he was really like and what made him tick. Bring your friends, students and every writer you know to meet this exciting man and learn to understand his gift to the world.
An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe is performed by the amazing Duffy Hudson. Broadway and film veteran, Hudson brings his talent and fascination for Edgar Allan Poe to life in this unique one-man play.
Actor, director and teacher, Hudson has worked with the best.
Two performances will be offered at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Pec Playhouse Theatre, 314 Main St., Pecatonica, Ill.
Tickets are $15 per person available at the door, but advance purchase is recommended.
The event is a fund-raiser sponsored by the Pecatonica School District. Proceeds will assist in the purchase of much-needed software for the district’s three libraries.
