Rockford Dance Company to present The Rockford Follies Feb. 25 at Coronado

It has been three years since the Rockford community has benefited from the hilarious antics of the Legal Follies. Last week, the Rockford Dance Company (RDC) announced The Rockford Follies (not totally legal) as a major fund-raiser supporting their mission to pursue excellence in the art of dance through performance, education and outreach.

Carole Newcomer, president of the RDC Board of Directors, said RDC has been researching a new fund-raiser concept since the beginning of the year.

Cindy Jo Lantz serves as RDC’s Executive Director and directed the last couple of Legal Follies (2006-2007). RDC hopes to have the legal community involved.

Rehearsals will start in late January. The show is scheduled at the Coronado Theatre Friday, Feb. 25, 2011. Those interested in working on the steering committee or the writing committee should contact Cindy Jo Lantz at (815) 963-3341.
