Crusader breaks ground on new Loves Park clinic Sept. 27

Crusader Community Health will hold a ground-breaking ceremony at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 27, at North Second and Clifford Avenue in Loves Park, Ill., for the development of a new Crusader Community Health Loves Park clinic.
In December 2009, Crusader was awarded $5.3 million to build a new facility in Loves Park plus assisting some renovation at the Crusader Community Health on Broadway. This grant was funded through the Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Facility Investment Program.
The 14,000-square-foot Loves Park facility will accommodate four medical providers—Family Practice Physician, a Pediatrician, a mid-level provider, a dentist and specialty clinics including OB/GYN, podiatry and pain management. The new clinic will open in early September 2011.
Crusader Community Health is a community-based, not-for-profit, Illinois corporation, whose mission is to serve the Rock River Valley area with quality, primary health care for people in need. Services are available on a sliding discount basis.
Crusader Community Health has three locations: Crusader Community Health on West State Street, 1200 W. State St.; Crusader Community Health on Broadway, Broadway and Seventh Street; and Crusader Community Health Belvidere, 1050 Logan Ave., Belvidere, Ill.
