		<description>Recycling is good. It helps our environment.  However, people should be aware that Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful (KNIB) is NOT a charitable organization.  The metals and clothing drives produce money for the organization that pays KNIB so much per pound.  That money is used to pay KNIB salaries and overhead.  

Remember when sections of Rockford flooded?  KNIB did not donate as much as a thrash bag to those whose homes took in water.

People just might want to look for sources that repair electronics and then donate them to needy families without charge.</description>
