Rockford Public Library hosts book talk with author Patricia Haley Oct. 8

Rockford Public Library will host a book discussion at its Montague Branch, 1238 S. Winnebago St., from 7-8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 8, with author and former Rockford native Patricia Haley. Her latest novel, Destined, is the sequel to her first inspirational novel, Chosen. In Destined, a truce is shattered as two brothers reignite their feud, both seeking ultimate control of their father’s multimillion-dollar ministry in this captivating second novel from Patricia Haley’s provocative new series. This program is part of Rockford Public Library’s After Hours: African American Literature Book Discussion held on the second Friday of the month.
Patricia Haley is an award-winning, Essence national best-selling author of seven faith-based novels. She is also a business consultant with an engineering degree from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Ms. Haley is the cousin of well-known Rockford author Kimberla Lawson Roby and currently resides in Philadelphia with her husband and daughter.
This event will be held in the Connie Lane Room of Montague Branch Library. This program, free and open to adults 18 and older, is co-sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Rockford Alumnae Chapter. Registration is not required.
