RRT,

I don't know how you missed me. I must of sent the information to the wrong person.

My name is Kevin J. Hendrickson, Write-In Candidate for the IL State Representative for the 69 district.

============================

Hi, my name is Kevin J. Hendrickson. I am 48, a husband, a father, and an American Patriot. I live in Kirkland; located in northwestern DeKalb County, in the southern part of the 69th District. Like most of you, I hope, I work for my living. For the last 10+ years, I have been working for a major manufacturing corporation in Rockford, IL. I have never held political office. My passions are God, family, our country’s heritage, helping others and political news. But who really am I?

Let me show you who I am. To do that, I need your help. Everybody please stand up if you are able to. I’m going to ask you 10 questions and if you answer “No” to more than three, then please sit back down. (There will also be one bonus question)

1.	Are you a citizen of the United States?
2.	Do you vigorously support our country and its way of life?
BTW, if you answered yes to both 1 & 2, you too are an American Patriot per the definitions found in a dictionary.
3.	Do you consider yourself a conservative?
4.	Do you believe the government should practice “No excuse fiscal responsibility and know the differences between “wants” & “needs”?
5.	Do you believe in Limited government as it was laid forth by our Founding Fathers?
6.	Do you believe that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land?
7.	Are you Pro-Life?
8.	Are you a 2nd Amendment Supporter, aka believe we have the right to bear arms?
9.	Do you think the government doesn’t use/practice common sense?
10. Do you think politicians have lost the following values: Honor, honesty, integrity, and passion for our country?

Ok, look around. You are looking at me. Plus the one you see in the mirror. If you answered yes to all of them, you are 100% in alignment with my beliefs and principles I stand on. If you answered yes to 9 of them, 90%, 8 – 80%, 7 – 70% and so on. So if your answer was “NO” to 6 or more we will tend to disagree on principles, but there is still hope as you will know where I stand and someone who will be honest with you.
Bonus question: Have you ever help a political office before? If so, Please sit down too. Now more than ever you see who I am.
I understand it takes more than just passion to do something. It takes skills, patience, persistence, and desire. Like our Founding Fathers, I too have had enough of the “King” and the politicians. That is why I accepted this task to give up my private life to serve you. I have never held office before, but I will no longer sit on the couch and yell at the TV. Most, if not all of us practice common sense and fiscal responsibility in our life, so why doesn’t the government do it. Why? The politicians have a spending problem; we need to check them into the clinic for “SA” – “Spending Anonymous” and then send them for a psych consol. After all Albert Einstein said, “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.
So tonight, ask yourself, do we want politicians or patriots in office? I am not a politician, I am an American Patriot. I am looking to be hired for a job to represent you. I will not lie on my resume or in the interview with you. I do thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you. Don’t worry about me being a write-in as that is how our voting was done at one time. Ignore the letter by the name, vote for yourself when you fill in the circle and write in Kevin Hendrickson.

Vote your heart and mind, not the party-line,

Thank you and God Bless

I've never seen such biased and one sided recommendations. This is just as bad as the RRSTAR. I came over here because someone told me the RRTimes was less biased, but I can see that's not true.

As a strongly and fiercly independant, I would love to find a true and unbiased review of the candidates. This one, just like the others, seems to gloss over bigger issues instead of going for an obvious evironmental only stance.

No doubt some of the candidates are "nice" people, friendly sorts, but let's elect people that will get something done. Dave Syverson has been in office 18 years, he's had plenty of time to try to get something done but has failed. I'm giving Marla Wilson my vote, but I certainly won't give her 18 years to deliver on results. Chuck Jefferson hasn't been in office 10 years, not yet. But he has brought some dollars back to the area, that's more than we can say for Winters or Wait (who isn't on the ballot this time.) Would I like a more activist representative, yes, but I don't see any activists on the ballot other than Gerry Woods the Green candidate in the 68th and the write-in Libertarian in the 69th. And I'm not sure why one would link Comptroller Candidate David Miller with Quinn. Dr. Miller is a small business man, running multiple offices, and has elected office experience. David Miller all the way, he is one of my few sure bets this election.

I agree with you on a number of your endorsements and do not want you to consider this as purely critical. I do however want to make you think a little about your endorsement of Marla Wilson.
You already know about the large contributions she's received from John Cullerton as you mentioned it in another one of your endorsements. Now consider the follwing:
She stated in her first commercial that she "promised" to cut pay and benifits in springfield and she has repeated this assertion several times since then. With 54 senators and 138 reps, you know as well as I that this is either naive ambition, an empty campaign promise, or worse, a blatant lie. She then airs a commercial falsly claiming that Syverson voted to raise his own pay when in fact, he voted against the raise all 8 times that it showed up during his time in the senate. (Not trying to paint him as a saint, just laying out the facts.)
Now consider that the source of her campaign contributions is John Cullerton, who in fact did vote to raise his own pay.

So the rhetorical questions here are:
Do you think she is really that naive?
Or do you think she will spill whatever lie she feels will get her into office?
If the latter, what do you think she will do if she gets in?

I know you don't like Syverson, but don't let your distaste make you easy prey for ear candy.

By the way, try to find her business website and make a cursory examination of her claims as a successful business woman.

It is amazing how the Rock River Times, the Register Star, and many other local media outlets always call for an end to Pay-to-Play politics, but then turn around and support the very people responsible.

Let's look at a few of yours; Lisa Madigan. Instead of confronting the criminal behavior of our elected officials, Madigan "looks the other way" and we all know why. If she was serious about doing her job, her first investigation would involve her father, the ethically-challenged Mike Madigan.

Chuck Jefferson. Sure. Chuck's a nice guy, but show me something, anything, he's accomplished in his ten years in office. Jefferson is an empty suit Madigan "employee", doing his masters bidding.

Dave Winters. Really? Try not smoking dope before you write again! Wind farms industrialize the landscape???? Would you rather have smoke-belching coal-fired plants? By the way, I don't see Indiana or Iowa turning into toxic waste dumps. Your position is based on nonsense.

Marla Wilson. You mean the home-town girl who now sleeps with the big city politicians? Wilson is bought and paid for by Senate President John Cullerton. Vote for Wilson is you want to send a mindless clone to Springfield. If you really want to end "Pay-to-Play", you've got to stop sending reinforcements to the enemy.

Pat Quinn. let's see, you slam Ray Pendzinski because he favors a progressive tax increase, yet you support Pat Quinn who also wants a tax increase? For what? Bill Brady's views on social issues that will never cross the Governors desk? Brady is running for Governor, NOT Supreme Court. It dosen't matter what Brady thinks about abortion, it is the law of the land, period! We should be a little nmore concerned with the candidates plans to save this state from bankruptcy.

So the Rock River Times endorses Manzullo because of what he did for a trail and a couple of museums?

Are these trivialities really the only interests of what I used to respect as a serious newspaper and its editor?

How can TRRT forget Manzullo's active participation in facilitating the export of our manufacturing jobs to a totalitarian country?

Since he voted, 10 years ago, for Permanent Most Favored Nation treatment for China, our jobs have flowed like a torrent away from this town to a country where there are no environmental regulations.

How can TRRT with all of its emphasis on environmental issues ignore that and endorse this man?

As for the local residents who lost those jobs forever, well I guess that will leave them plenty of time to enjoy their new trail and museum, thanks to Don Manzullo.

How can TRRT endorse a man who has bent over backwards to legitimize Red China's brutal one-party parliament and all of its decades of crimes against humanity?

Manzullo has no concern for human rights in China; here's what he says about his relationship with that country on his website:

“As Chairman of the U.S.-China Interparliamentary Exchange from 1999 to 2006, Manzullo continually engaged China’s leaders on the country’s unfair trade practices, including currency manipulation, piracy and illegal business subsidies.”
http://manzullo.house.gov/Biography/

NOTE: not a word about the continued brutalities against pregnant women, Tibetan monks, Falun Gong practitioners, Christian ministers, Uyghurs and Nobel Peace Prize winners, among many others.

As former Chairman (and ongoing member) of the U.S.-China Interparliamentary Exchange, Manzullo promotes the subversive idea that our democratically-elected Congress and Communist China’s unelected Chinese "parliament" are equally respectable.

Is that what TRRT thinks, too?

We know, from his own auto-biography, what Manzullo thinks and cares most about: money and only money.

Well he’s collected plenty of that over the years. Is that what makes him worthy of your endorsement?

After all these years of Manzullo’s dedicated misrepresentation of the working people of his district and his steadfast devotion to the economic welfare of Red China, you still endorse Manzullo for Congress?

You can’t be serious! You should be ashamed!
