Community Foundation Grant-Seekers Meeting Nov. 9

The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois will hold a Grant-Seekers Meeting at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center at 415 N. Church St.
All nonprofit organizations in the northern Illinois region, including Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago counties are encouraged to attend.
Highlights of the meeting will include information about Collaboration and Community, presented by Gloria Lundin, president of the Community Foundation, and An Overview of District 205’s Strategic Plan presented by Dr. LaVonne Sheffield, superintendent, and Caesar Mickens, executive director of Professional Development. In addition, other area funders will be on hand to discuss their applications and guidelines with nonprofit agencies.

The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois serves the regional community of Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago counties, and is the area’s largest provider of grants and scholarships. With assets approaching $50 million, the Foundation made awards of more than $4 million last year.
