To the Editor: Obama’s actions do not compute

The following is a letter that the Rockford Register Star refused to print, ostensibly because it is critical of the Obama administration. This is what I wrote that the Star found offensive.

I have been listening to, and watching, our president. Some things don’t seem to compute. Follow along for a minute to see if you can make any sense of it.

Our president says he is a patriot, yet when illegal immigrants stream across our border, kidnapping and murdering our citizens, he does nothing. When Arizona tries to protect itself, he files suit against them.

He says he wants to promote our country, yet he won’t wear a flag lapel pin because he doesn’t want to offend foreigners. On top of that, he refuses to take part in the pledge of allegiance.

He claims to be a Christian, yet he rarely, if ever, attends church, except in Chicago. He spent 20 years there listening to a self-proclaimed “American-hating,” “white-hating” radical. He canceled the National Day of Prayer at the White House but attended the Muslim Iftar Ramadan dinner.

As a candidate, he said that the health care bill discussions would be on C-SPAN. He barred them, and the bill was crafted in closed-door meetings to the exclusion of all citizens and Republican legislators. The list goes on. Can anyone explain this dichotomy between what he is saying and what he is doing?

Arlys, it is obvious that the other problems Ms. Holder has with B. Hussien Obama are not refutable by you. Such as illegal aliens running across MY border. The filing of a law suit against Arizona. You may have seen hours of discussion of Obamacare on C-SPAN, but it was reporters talking about why it was not being covered. Why else would the bill be voted on if no one read it?

The sad thing is that obama told America exactly what he wanted to do, and no one listened.
