Rockford man caught with more than 18 grams of crack cocaine, charged with intent to deliver

Members of Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit and Community Service Unit went to 604 Hilton Ave. to follow up on complaints of drug violations. Rockford police detectives located three individuals at this residence.
Further investigation led to the recovery of 38 individually packaged pieces of crack cocaine that weighed more than 18 grams. Other drug indicia as well as United States currency was recovered.
One adult male, who was identified as Marcus R. Griffith, 31, was arrested and lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The other two adults were released without charges.
Griffith was charged with possession with intent to deliver 1-15 grams of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park, possession with intent to deliver 15-100 grams of cocaine and driving while revoked.
