I understand your anger regarding our tax dollars being wasted but remember who is spending them, who is approving the spending and finally who is allowing the spending to continue.

First, we need to fire Dr. Sheffield.

Second, we need to replace Kelly, Westholder, and Evans. They are useless.

Third, we need to stand up as the people who fund this mess and demand results for our dollars.

Rockford is not solely funded by the morons who brought Lavonne to Rockford.

Again thanks Nancy, Mike, Sunil, Larry, Cyrus! You picked a real gem.

My thanks to WEE for bringing this information to me. That said, I’m fed up with both sides.

As a taxpayer, I’m sick of paying Rock-Star prices for administrators WHO FAIL, to teachers WHO FAIL, and to a school district tha FAILS! Graduation rates of 65% ARE A FAILURE! The Tribune reported yesterday that only 50% of Illinois Seniors read at their level, Only 25% have math skills appropriate to their level.

Since we’re stuck with a failing school system no matter how much money we throw at it, I say let’s take the opposite approach. Let’s cut school funding by 50%, starting with a reduction of administrative personnel of 75%. The teachers can suck up the rest of the cut.

What’s the worst that can happen…the district fail????? We’re already there!

All you have to do is following Dr. LaVonne M. Sheffields employment history. You could start in Detroit, just heard Detroit has the “WORST” schools in the entire United States. Look at the other schools she has been associated with, should give someone a clue. Thanks alot School District for hiring a person of this calibar. Taxpayer take it in the end one more time, when will Rockford taxpayer “clean out the swamp” to coin a phrase by another Taxpayer Cheat.

How long will this community accept being called crazy, not supportive of our kids, and even racists…simply because we do not agree with superintendent Dr. Sheffield.

Bravo. What a terrific response. No emotion. No lies. Just facts and truth. Something that has not been coming out of District 205.The rumor that had been floating around about Diamond Security was that her husband had been a silent partner in the firm. There has been no evidence of that and WEE never even mentioned the rumored connection. I think she was commenting on all the rumors that had been going around not just the facts that WEE has uncovered. What I found shocking was her incinuation that WEE was racist because WEE reported the facts about employees who happened to be minority. That is her tactic and I have personally been the recipient of her innuendos and name calling. It is the wag the dog tactic to try and place the public focus on something other than what the light is shining on. Keep up the good work!

I still think that her going out and making that very public statement was her way of trying to bully the WEE committee into shutting up. Please do not back down as you are truly the voice of the teachers and very much so advocates for the children in the Rockford district.
