Roscoe man arrested on cannabis charges

Nov. 18, State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) in conjunction with the Loves Park Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration arrested a Roscoe man for manufacturing cannabis.
SLANT agents executed a search warrant at 6324 John St. in Loves Park, a vacant home owned by David Leombruni. Seized as a result of the search were 97 cannabis plants, growing equipment, 1,050 grams of processed cannabis, baggies and scales.
Leombruni, 29, who lives in the 600 block of Rosemare Drive in Roscoe, Ill., was arrested and charged with unauthorized production of cannabis plants, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and possession of cannabis.
Leombruni was incarcerated at the Winnebago County Jail.
These charges are only an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The SLANT is composed of officers from the Freeport, Loves Park, Rockford and Monroe, Wis., police departments, the Stephenson County and Green County, Wisconsin, sheriff’s departments and the Illinois State Police.
