‘An English Christmas’ Dec. 3

Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center (MPAC) will present the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, directed by Stephen Squires, in “An English Christmas” at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3, at Court Street United Methodist Church. Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for students. Groups of 10 or more adults receive $5 off per ticket.

The Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra will join with the Rock Valley College Concert Choir, directed by Paul Laprade, and the Rockford College Vocal Collective, directed by Timm Adams, to celebrate the holiday season with a selection of works by Vaughan Williams and orchestrated English carols by John Rutter and Donald Fraser.
