Kantorei’s evening Christmas concert Dec. 10

Kantorei, the Singing Boys of Rockford, will present an evening performance of “Christmas with Kantorei” at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St., Rockford.
Enjoy the festive sounds of the season as Kantorei presents a concert of carols old and new, hymns and anthems celebrating the season. Special guests include the Martin Ringers, Rockford’s premiere handbell ringing ensemble based at Second Congregational Church.
Now in its 47th year, Kantorei continues to offer boys age 6-18 in our community an excellent musical education, while providing opportunities for personal growth. Joel Ross is the music director, Bradley Koloch is the associate director, and Trudy Anderson is the assistant director. Acclaimed for performances sung with discipline, maturity and sensitivity, the boys have delighted audiences locally, nationally and throughout the world. Their sixth CD, Heart and Voice, will be released just in time for holiday gift-giving.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, and are available through Kantorei members; Randee’s Music, 4116 Morsay Drive; or at the door.
