Grammy Award nominee Sarah Siskind will close out a full weekend of music when she takes the stage at Kryptonite Bar Sunday, Dec. 12.

Known for an original blend of rock, folk and Americana, Siskand is a noted Nashville singer/songwriter. Her song, “Simple Love” was a leading single on Alison Krauss’s A Hundred Miles or More and nominated for Best Female Country Performance at the 2008 Grammy Awards.

Siskind has recorded four studio albums, including 2009’s Say it Louder, the 13-track concept record she co-produced with Jason Lehning.

Rockford’s Kelly Steward, and band, will open the show. Her critically acclaimed EP, Long Long Road (2009) continues to receive positive reviews around the world.

Show starts at 9 p.m.

Black Crowes tribute Fake Your Money Maker, Pulse 18 (Friday, Dec. 10) and Bullet (Saturday, Dec. 11) will also play Kryptonite this weekend.
