Santa makes stop at Winnebago County Animal Services Dec. 11

Santa will visit Winnebago County Animal Services from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, to promote helping others and invites the public to bring a food donation for people or pets.

You may drop off your non-perishable food items or unopened dry cat or dog food anytime on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items will be given to the Rock River Valley Food Pantry and Kibble Korner Pet Food Pantry, unless otherwise specified. Visitors may also donate to the shelter’s wish list, which is available at wcasrock.org.

During your visit, feel free to visit the animals for adoption or have your photo taken with Santa. Children are invited, although pets should stay home. You may bring your own camera.

Volunteers will be on hand to assist you or answer your questions about volunteering at the shelter. Refreshments will also be available from 1 to 3 p.m.
