Rockford Chamber of Commerce seeks nominations for Citizen of the Year

The Rockford Chamber of Commerce is still seeking nominees for its annual Citizen of the Year Award, the organization announced Monday, Dec. 27.
The winner of the 2011 award will be announced at the Rockford Chamber of Commerce annual dinner, Jan. 19, 2011, at Giovanni’s.
The Citizen of the Year Award honors an area citizen for his or her notable community contributions on the local and regional levels, Vee Jevremovic, the chamber’s manager of education programs and events, said.
Past Citizen of the Year recipients include Barb Berman (2010), Robert Funderberg Jr. (2009), the late Jon Lundin (2008), and Mike Dunn (2007).
Nominations are being accepted until Jan. 5, 2011. Nominees do not need to be members of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
