From press release
Charlotte’s Web for the Performing Arts presents the group Emery Christiansen (John Bishoff, Ron Holm, Chuck Sweeny, Ron Sunday and Jerry Parlapiano) in a concert event at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 15, at Katie’s Cup, 502 Seventh St., Rockford.
In a performance titled “Re-Plugged—Un-Plugged,” this will kick off the second half of the Web’s 39th season as they welcome back some old and dear friends.
Thirty years ago, in the early 1980s, John Bishoff, Ron Holm, Chuck Sweeny, Ron Sunday and Jerry Parlapiano used to rock the house at Charlotte’s Web as Emery Christiansen. Now, they’ve gotten back together and are having more fun than ever with their own brand of Americana, retro, folk, blues, the ’50s and the ’40s. This will be a reunion of sorts and a phenomenal night of music as well with special guests Dorothy Paige-Turner and Andrew Holm.
Tickets will go fast, and seating is limited. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
