Police look for same man in armed robbery spree

Rockford police are looking for the man they say robbed four area businesses at knife-point within a 24-hour period this week.
The suspect has been identified in a series of surveillance photos, police said.
Police say the suspect is a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, and was dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt, faded jeans and brown shoes.
The man is suspected of robbing Walgreens, 3800 Auburn St.; Road Ranger, 5330 block of E. State St.; Burger King, 909 W. Riverside Blvd.; and Burger King, 2434 11th St.
The holdups happened between Monday, Jan. 3 and Tuesday, Jan. 4.
The W. Riverside Burger King was robbed Tuesday at approximately 8:30 p.m., police said. The suspect fled each robbery on foot with undetermined amounts of cash.
Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is urged to call the City of Rockford Police Department at (815) 987-5824.
