It’s been said that the only difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys. Some very expensive toys—and the men who ride them—will be playing in the dirt this weekend. The Bad Boys of Racing will be taking over the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates Friday and Saturday (Jan. 14-15) evenings.
Thousands of yards of dirt will be brought into the arena and shaped into a giant indoor Super Cross-type track. The huge jumps will send the riders flying 70 feet through the air. The two nights of motorized adrenaline-pumping action will feature several rounds of qualifying and main events.
In addition to the daredevils on motorcycles, the Fourth Annual Chi-Town Indoor Hot Rod Mud Bog Championships will also thrill those in attendance. The modified and super modified four-by-fours will race and romp through the dirt, dust and mud, vying for the title of the biggest and baddest in Illinois.
Tickets are now on sale by phone at 1-888-SearsTIX, online at SearsCentre.com or at the Sears Centre Box Office. Individual Suite rentals are available. Call Krista at (847) 649-2227 or e-mail Krista.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ticket prices: $37, $22, $17 and $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 12 and younger. Tickets purchased at the box office on the day of the event go up $2 for all adult tickets. Youth tickets remain the same. The $37 and $22 tickets are VIP tickets that allow fans go down onto the event floor for a special pre-race event to meet the riders, see the track and bikes up close. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. both evenings.
This is one of those sporting events that pushes the decibel level above and beyond comfortable for most people. In addition to your tickets, it might be a wise idea to pack a pair of earplugs.
