Deadline Feb. 4 for Belvidere award nominations

BELVIDERE, Ill.—The Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce announces that nominations for the Doctor of Civic Betterment Award are being accepted at the Chamber office. This prestigious award has been given out for more than 44 years to worthy volunteers in the Boone County community.
Nominees for the award must have demonstrated exceptional volunteer services, such as youth work, educational projects, fund-raising activities, recreational activities or any other work beyond that person’s normal duties and responsibilities. This service is usually based on several years, with some rendered in the current year. Individuals are also welcome to nominate an individual of their choice. Nominations must be received in the Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce office (130 S. State St. #300, Belvidere, Ill.) no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, 2011. Please mail early to meet the deadline. Nominations will not be accepted after 5 p.m.
This award will be given at the Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner to be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Clock Tower Resort, 7801 E. State St., Rockford.
