Rockford man charged with possession of cannabis, crack cocaine and Ecstasy and child endangerment

Members of the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit have been investigating the sale of illegal narcotics, which had been reported to be taking place at 1612 Keefe St. As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed Feb. 9 by the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit.
Five adults and one toddler were located at the residence. During the investigation and subsequent search, a variety of drugs were located as well as a loaded .357 revolver. More than 70 grams of cannabis, 86 grams of crack cocaine and 24 pills of Ecstasy were recovered, along with U.S. currency and other items associated with drug sales. One adult male, who was identified as Rashund M. Marks, 24, was arrested as a result of the investigation and lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.
Marks was charged with possession with intent to deliver 15-100 grams of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver MDMA (Ecstasy), possession with intent to deliver cannabis, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, endangering the life or health of a child. He is being held on a $300,000 bond.
Marks is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
