Astro-Weather: Week of Feb. 16-22, 2011

By Guy Spiro

Wednesday, Feb. 16—High energy from yesterday will tend to linger through today. Reread and apply carefully. Two more major energies come into focus through the day. The first is cautionary. Watch for the exposure of things normally kept hidden and beneath the surface. Guard your secrets, and observe as others’ are exposed. Do keep the eyes and ears open as there is likely to be much to be learned. This energy also brings problems to communication and transportation. Be on alert for coerciveness, general bad attitudes and smartmouth-itis. Be especially careful in traffic. The second is a repeat in a stronger form of the second energy from yesterday. Make very good use of it. A short moon void of course period in the predawn runs from 1:04 until 3:13, when the moon enters Leo. At that point, the energy will lift, general moods will tend to become more intense and concerned with self, and the full-moon period will begin to roll in.

Thursday, Feb. 17—High energy from yesterday will remain very much with us through today. Reread and apply carefully, making good use of the positive and minimizing the cautionary. Be aware of two more major energies. The most important is the full moon, which is exact in tomorrow’s early predawn. This makes today and tomorrow full-moon days. Remember that full moons are always high energy and deserve to be approached with respect. This particular one has positive energy connected to it, but remember that the new moon was mixed. If you had relationship or social problems, then be very careful with them over the next few days. Today’s other major energy is related to the full moon and is positive for making changes in unusual ways, possibly involving electronic media, science, technology and magic. Plan some sort of fun, interesting and stimulating activity. This can be good for taking a novel approach to dealing with authority, but obviously one wants to be careful with that. Minor energies are mixed, at best, and there is scattered minor irritability here and there through the day, and good choices will definitely be in order.

Friday, Feb. 18—Today is again full-moon day. It is exact at 2:35 this morning. Reread yesterday and apply through today and tomorrow, at least. Be aware of three more major energies. The first is a long-range, outer-planet energy that supports the ongoing changes in the world toward greater liberality and enlightenment. That is the prevailing wind in the world, however much it may look otherwise at times. Watch the news for indications. The second easily brings problems to relationships, and this is particularly pertinent for those who had problems back at the new moon. Watch for feelings of restriction and frustration, and avoid any temptation to act out on them. Some people will fall into some hard, cold attitudes, and consequences from indulging in all of this can be harsher and longer lasting than at other times. The third is the sun’s entry into the mutable water sign Pisces, as the final third of the winter season begins. During this month, dream your dreams and make plans for major projects for this year to be started around the vernal equinox next month when the sun enters Aries. A short moon void of course period occurs this morning from 2:35 until 3:38, when the moon enters Virgo. At that point, the energy will shift, and general moods tend to become more discerning and concerned with detail. This will obviously be a high-energy social Friday night, but one to be careful with.

Saturday, Feb. 19—Consider the full moon to run through today and on into tomorrow. Remember that a full moon will tend to inflate and exaggerate anything that is going on. Late Friday-night social scenes will run strongly into today’s predawn. Again, remember the full moon, and take it into account in any situation you find yourself in. Today’s best moods will be in the late predawn into the early morning. Take an innovative and expansive approach through the midday and early afternoon. This is likely to be a high-energy social Saturday night, but moods may be tricky. Watch for minor irritability, erratic and aggressive emotional reactions and spaciness. Also be aware of a short moon void of course period in tomorrow’s predawn. You may want to pack this one in early.

Sunday, Feb. 20—The full moon remains with us into today, especially through the predawn. A short moon void of course period runs from 1:18 until 3, when the moon enters Libra. At that point, the energy shifts, and general moods tend to become more concerned with balance, beauty and fairness. Be aware of five major energies today. The first can bring problems with and for authority. This is not a strong version of this energy, but deal carefully with it anyway. Watch for perceptions of restriction and frustration, and avoid any acting out on them as consequences can be harsher and longer lasting than at other times. The second, third and fourth are related and are an interesting combination. Start projects involving communication, transportation, the uses of energy and power, as well as meditation, prayer or any other spiritual activity. Any and all of these kinds of things will be emphasized, and you will want to make good use of this, however you relate to it. The fifth is very good for any activity involving communication and transportation, especially where electricity, electronic media, science, technology and magic are concerned. Remember the cautions, but go for it.

Monday, Feb. 21—All of yesterday’s major energies, both positive and cautionary, will remain with us through today. Reread and apply, especially involving the initiation of important projects and communication and transportation, which will be the strongest of the carryover energies. Be aware of two more major energies. The first is related to yesterday’s fifth energy, and brings power into the mix. This energy is very good for anything involving learning, communicating and putting into motion all of the things connected to yesterday’s energy. Be willing to consider going in unusual directions and making what some may see as surprising changes, but you have always known you were interested. The second indicates a general shift in thinking and communication patterns toward a more spiritual direction with an appreciation of intangibles and some tendency for spaciness. This is Mercury entering Pisces, where it remains until April 9, when it enters Aries. Minor energies are of little help today, with scattered minor irritability here and there from the early predawn through the midday. The rest of the afternoon through the later evening is open, and a communicative approach will serve best. Moods will be mixed in the very late night, but will tend to be more positive than otherwise.

Tuesday, Feb. 22—High energy from the past few days will tend to linger through today. Reread and make the best possible use of the positives. Be aware of five major energies today. The first can bring problems to communication and transportation. This is not the strongest version of this energy, but watch for some people to run into restriction and frustration, and some to foolishly act out on them. Be careful in traffic, and don’t overreact to delays. The second indicates a shift in the uses of energy and power toward more spiritual endeavors. Start that meditation or yoga class. This is Mars entering Pisces, where it remains until April 2, when it enters its own sign, Aries. The third through fifth are a continuation of the second through fourth from last Sunday. Continue to make the same kinds of beginnings in things involving spirituality, as were indicated then. A short moon void of period this morning runs from 2:35 until 3:29, when the moon enters Scorpio. At that point, the energy will shift, and general moods will become more intense and passionate. Today’s best moods will be from the late predawn through most of the morning. The rest of the day is mixed. Make good choices to get the most out of it.
