It replaced (same format) the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) Academic Challenge, which Winnebago had won down-State in what must have been 1994. I can not find listings of JETS past winners. And it looks like Keith Country Day and Durand are the only two schools in the "Division (300)" at the local regional. Upon further investigation, it looks like the WYSE Academic Challenge has only existed since 1997.
