Paleofest set for March 5-6 at Burpee Museum
The “Giants: African Dinosaur” exhibit at Burpee Museum of Natural History runs now through May 15. The first two weekends brought in large crowds with excited museum-goers eager to get a glimpse of the “Giant” dinosaurs. Admission to Burpee and the “Giants” exhibit is $12 for adults and $11 for children.
PaleoFest is up next, this weekend, March 5-6. PaleoFest is filled with activities for the entire family. Dinoblast activities promise to interest the kids and are included in admission. PaleoFest admission Saturday and Sunday is discounted to $10 per person and includes Burpee Museum admission, the “Giants” exhibit, and Dinoblast activities.
Burpee is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the “Giants” exhibit is accessible during that time. Burpee Museum of Natural History is at 737 N. Main St., Rockford. Call with questions at 815-965-3433 or visit burpee.org.
Pre-registration is required for PaleoFest lectures and family workshops that are scheduled throughout the weekend. A full list of lectures and workshops, along with times, is available on the Burpee website.
