Company outsourcing does not promote ‘buy local’
Goodbye to the Rockford Register Star. I try to buy local, and if a company outsources, it is no longer local. I understand it is owned by a company that is not [in] Rockford, but most newspapers are. But to fire your Rockford employees and send that work to Chicago, well, goodbye, remembering the people you just put out of work.

Another customer giving the STAR das boot. Yes they did lay-offf how many production workers. Do not think all the writers and cartoonist work in Rockford-call the paper and ask to talk to certain contributors, you’ll be told they do not report downtown to work. While many papers are owned from out of town—TRRT is home owned and grown. Also the TRRT does not CENSOR the citizens who write to express opinions. For a fact-the Star will censor and sandbag issues. Continue the boycott and soon they can shutter the entire Tower(Babel).
I quit the RRStar years ago. Their anti-civil service, anti-Union, anti-labor,,, well, pretty much anti-anything to do with the American worker, finally got to me. I felt that it would be hypocritical of them to accept my Union earned cvil service pension as payment for my subscription to their paper. So, to save them from themselves, I cancelled. Now, I rely on the RRTimes and Chicago Tribune for my news. And, they seem to serve me quite well.
