Two Rockford men arrested on crack cocaine charges

Members of the Rockford Police Department Narcotics Unit have been investigating the sale of narcotics that had been reported to be taking place at 1409 Sun Court. As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed March 16 by the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit.
Two adult males, an adult female and a toddler were located inside the residence. During a search of the residence, detectives located more than 24 grams of suspected crack cocaine that was packaged for sale. Other items associated with drug trafficking, along with USC were located and recovered.
Both adult males were arrested and lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The female was released and not charged.
Nazarel K. Wilson, 25, of Rockford, was charged with intent to deliver 15-100 grams of cocaine. His bond has yet to be set by the judge, although he faces a Class X felony charge.
Tarvas A. Bernell-Hill, 25, of Rockford, was arrested on a Rockford warrant. His bond has been set at $5,000.
Both subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
