		<description>I have to agree with Mr. Peterson on this one, though not necessarily on the same terms. 

According to a 2006 report in the St. Petersburg Times, for every season a player spends on an NFL roster, his life expectancy decreases by almost three years. If a player only lasted 4 years that would put him dying at around 55. for those who&#039;s careers are longer, it&#039;s even more grimm. 

We get our players from specific communities, or even races. They are the modern gladiator - slaves destroying their bodies for the entertainment of the masses. Yes they make a lot of money, but they are the exception. Think about the children who live in ghettos, projects, inner city neighborhoods - who are they given as role models? Athletes. They are taught that the only way out of a hopeless life is to destroy yourself. That is slavery.</description>
