Urban Ministries hosts used book sale March 29-April 2
From press release
Rockford Urban Ministries is hosting its first Used Book Sale at 201 Seventh St., Rockford, in the JustGoods Gallery.
The sale begins at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, and runs until Saturday, April 2, the last day the books will be sold by the bag full. Books are mostly priced under $3, and the price will be reduced every day until they are all gone.
The Used Book Sale is open during JustGoods fair trade store hours Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., or call for special showings at (815) 964-7111.
Most of the books are history, political science, and religion. There are a few fictional works. A large selection of used art books were donated by Rockford’s best antiquarian bookstore, The Book Stall.
The Used Book Sale is open to the public, and the books are priced to sell. All proceeds benefit Rockford Urban Ministries and its partner projects. RUM’s latest project is hosting a work camp for large groups of volunteers to work on indigent people’s homes.
Donations are still being accepted for the sale. Donations may be dropped off at the gallery at 201 Seventh St. during store hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Or call Stanley Campbell at (815) 964-7111 for pick-up or special arrangements.
