Houston company new owner of Rockford’s Clock Tower Resort

Houston-based Allied Hospitality, Inc., has been named the new owner of Rockford’s Best Western Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center.
Allied has more than 20 years in the hospitality industry and manages a variety of branded hotel properties across the country, including Hilton Garden, Clarion and Best Western.
Steve Hsu, owner of Allied Hospitality, Inc., said: “We are excited to welcome the Best Western Clock Tower Resort to the Allied family. We expect to retain all the associates of the property in an effort to make the transition in ownership as seamless as possible.”
Regarding the resort’s future, Hsu said, “Our intention is to revitalize the resort by investing back into the property so the Clock Tower can continue to be a desirable choice for recreational and business travelers, meeting planners and special events.”
Clock Tower General Manager Dwight Hopfauf said: “We are very pleased with the process and outcome of the sale of the Clock Tower. With the purchase comes a very promising outlook for the future of the resort. All of our associates in the Best Western Hotel, at the Tilted Kilt and CoCo Key Water Resort look forward to working with the new ownership to continue our commitment of offering the highest level of service and creating the most unique and enjoyable experience for all of our guests.”
The Clock Tower is affiliated with Best Western, which has more than 4,000 hotels in 90 different countries. The affiliation will remain intact with the new ownership.
Nine other properties were placed up for sale along with the Clock Tower by previous owners Hexagon Investments Feb. 15. The final purchase price was not disclosed. Deadline for completing the transfer of ownership is March 25.
