A premier lineup of performers will be at the Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) for the 2011 Rockford AirFest, officials announced Friday, Mach 25.

The annual show will feature performances by 14 acts, including four military teams.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the June 4 and 5 event. The performance will be part of the Blue Angel 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation Tour.

“Our goal is to make each AirFest bigger and uniquely better than the last so it remains the premier family friendly event for the entire region, and the AirFest 2011 lineup does just that,” said Bob O’Brien, executive director of Chicago Rockford International Airport, said. “With the Blue Angels returning for the first time since 2007, and a great mix of other acts, this is bound to be an exciting show.”

Tens of thousands spectators are expected, O’Brien said.
